Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift had a passion for music from an early stage of her life. Swift quickly rose up the ranks, starting with roles in children's theater before performing before a large crowd. The moment Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game at age 11, she was already writing songs. The next year she began playing guitar. Swift was a singer who took ideas from Shania's music and that of The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm in country music composed the songs of her own to convey her feelings of alienation. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania at the age of 13, so that she would have longer pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
